#CAFElections: Africans On Twitter Expose International Media Hypocrisy Over The Topple Of Issa Hayatou To End 29year Reign Over African Football

When news broke out of Madagascar's Ahmed Ahmed's victory in the CAF elections to end 29year reign of Issa Hayatou, initial reports by international media outlets spoke of "a lot being achieved" under the Cameroonian's leadership. So strong was this narrative that it appeared Africa once again had done something African. Something inexplicable. This, quite in contrast to celebrations online best exemplified by these tweets that come only second to the hoist and shoulder high carry of Ahmed Ahmed by South African (region not country) CAF delegates once news of  the 34-20 win broke.
